Guiyang International Land Port enhances cargo handling capacity

The main area of Guiyang International Land Port loaded a record 200 railcars on Sept 16, up 47 percent from the previous high recorded before July.

Since July, Guiyang International Land Port has worked to secure more cargo, increase train frequency and streamline operations, steadily increasing the amount of freight it can handle.

As freight volumes have increased, the port has introduced measures to improve scheduling and maintain safe operations. It has coordinated with railway authorities, Guiyang Free Trade Zone, and partner clients to track real-time cargo arrival and departure updates, improve container slot layout, and adjust loading and unloading capacity as needed.

The port will continue to strengthen safety management, streamline operations and improve efficiency as Guizhou expands its role as an inland trade hub.
