Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport's daily passenger throughput reached 90,888 on Aug 6, marking a year‑on‑year increase of 14.72 percent and setting a new record during the summer travel rush.

From July 1 to Aug 8, the airport handled a total of 3.23 million passengers, up 7.54 percent from the same period in 2025. The number of aircraft operated stood at 21,490, rising 5.04 percent.

To further improve travel efficiency for passengers, the airport has coordinated the scheduling of aircraft stand resources, using its monitoring system to keep precise track of flight status and reduce idle time for jet bridges, effectively boosting its operational efficiency.

During the summer travel rush, the airport deployed wide‑body aircraft on routes to key tourist‑source cities in East, North, and South-Central China. Its flight departure punctuality rate reached 92.64 percent, a year‑on‑year increase of 2.77 percent, with the average flight delay time significantly shortened.

The airport has also expanded the coverage of its transfer services. It has established inter‑airline through‑check services with 47 airports both inside and outside Guizhou province, greatly cutting down passengers' transfer time.
