Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport recorded a single-day passenger throughput of 80,186 on July 8, a year-on-year increase of 8.79 percent, hitting the 80,000-passenger mark 16 days earlier than last year.

Since the start of the summer travel rush on July 1, the airport has handled a total passenger throughput of 589,000, averaging 73,600 passengers per day, up 3.34 percent year-on-year. A total of 4,047 flights were operated, with an average of 506 per day.

Fueled by the summer tourism appeal of Guizhou province, the airport's passenger traffic has continued to rise. More than 10 scheduled flights operate daily to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Ningbo. Wide-body aircraft have been deployed on multiple major domestic routes connecting Guiyang with Beijing, Shanghai, and other cities to expand carrying capacity.

Six routes to overseas destinations such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul are operated to meet demand for cross-border sightseeing and family visits over the summer break.

The airport will also roll out family activities to enrich passengers' travel experience.
