The train consists of 29 carriages, carrying 261 electric vehicles manufactured at Geely's Guiyang production base. It will leave China via Khorgos Port in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and is expected to arrive in Kazakhstan in around 15 days. It will help facilitate trade between local enterprises in Guizhou and Central Asia.
Wang Hongxing, a representative of the logistics center, said that unlike traditional transport carriers, JSQ wagons feature a double-deck through-type cage structure, boasting advantages such as a larger capacity, higher efficiency, and enhanced vehicle protection.
Vehicle exports traditionally rely mostly on road transshipment or container loading, which suffer from limited capacity, vehicle damage during loading and unloading, and severe disruptions in rainy and snowy weather. The JSQ wagon trains adopt a dedicated transport model, greatly reducing the risk of damage to vehicles during long-distance cross-border transit and providing automakers with stable and reliable supply chain support.
The launch of the JSQ freight train has opened up a special freight route connecting Guizhou with Central Asia. It significantly reduces cross-border logistics costs for local enterprises and shortens transit cycles, helping Guizhou products enter Central Asian and global markets and delivering stronger logistics support for Guizhou to further integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.
