Two brand-new intelligent cruise ships have entered operation at Baihua Lake Scenic Area in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district, marking a new stage of intelligent, low‑carbon development and high‑quality service in the lake's water tourism.
As an important provincial-level scenic spot, Baihua Lake is home to 108 islands and is a well-known eco-leisure destination. In recent years, it has focused on ecological protection and enhancing the visitor experience by upgrading its water tourism offerings. The launch of these intelligent cruise ships represents a key measure to address infrastructure shortcomings, optimize service supply, and promote high-quality development through integrated cultural and tourism development.
Each ship can accommodate eight to 10 passengers. Designed around green and low‑carbon principles, they are powered by lithium batteries and operate silently, preserving the natural landscape of Baihua Lake while enhancing the visitor experience.
The ships can be remotely controlled via tablet to perform functions such as berthing, returning to the dock, and adjusting lighting and air conditioning, ensuring convenient and efficient operation. Each vessel is assigned a full-time safety officer for real-time monitoring throughout the voyage, and all operators have undergone systematic safety and operational training to ensure safe and stable sailing.
In addition to these cruise ships, Baihua Lake also operates 36 large vessels and eight speedboats, including three newly added new-energy water buses and one new-energy ship.
The scenic area currently receives an average of 8,000 visitors per day. The introduction of intelligent cruise ships is expected to further increase tourist flow and enrich cultural and tourism consumption scenarios.
