Guiyangbei Railway Station handled 3.69 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 9.9 percent; Guiyang Railway Station handled 989,000 passengers, up by 10.1 percent; and Guiyangdong Railway Station handled 631,000 passengers.
In response to the overlapping travel flows of migrant workers, students, and family visitors during the rush, railway authorities relied on passenger flow surveys and big data to achieve a precise match between transport capacity and passenger demand. More than 330 temporary trains were added, including 114 overnight high-speed trains for popular destinations such as Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Chongqing.
A series of convenient and beneficial measures were initiated, including special reservation channels for students and migrant workers and 12306 telephone ticket assistance services for elderly passengers.
Public facilities were also upgraded, with eight new pillar charging stations added at Guiyangbei Railway Station, four convenient charging stations renovated at Guiyang Railway Station, 30 additional seats added at Guiyang Railway Station, and 105 at Guiyangbei.
