Guiyang to add more parking spaces in 2026

Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area completed the construction of 8,207 parking spaces in 2025, reaching 164.14 percent of the annual target. It plans to add no fewer than 3,000 public parking spaces this year.

The shared parking space renovation project also progressed smoothly, with a total of 5,670 shared parking spaces renovated throughout the year.

The Guiyang transportation committee will focus on increasing parking supply, renovating existing parking spaces, and improving intelligent management. It will clarify short-, medium- and long-term goals to form a parking pattern featuring "available spaces, orderly management, joint construction, and shared utilization".

The committee will organize the authorities of parking lots in all districts to upgrade eligible public parking lots across the city, improving their intelligent, information-based construction, and management level. This year, it plans to upgrade more than 2,500 parking spaces.

It will also build a smart parking platform which integrates functions including parking space inquiry, navigation, and reservation, providing one-stop parking services. The platform will be upgraded this year with the goal of connecting more than 1.2 million parking spaces.
