The 40-day 2026 Spring Rush started on Feb 2. Guiyang Railway has made advance plans and fully arranged for the travel rush, striving to ensure a safe, orderly, and pleasant travel experience for all passengers.
Based on an analysis of regional travel characteristics and passenger flow, during the 2026 Spring Rush, the three key railway stations in Guiyang — Guiyangbei, Guiyangdong, and Guiyang railway stations — are expected to receive a total of 5.15 million passengers, with a daily average of 128,700, marking a year-on-year increase of 5.15 percent, thus hitting a new record over this period when compared to previous years.

Among them, Guiyangbei Railway Station is expected to handle 3.53 million passengers, with a daily average of 88,400, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.4 percent. Guiyangdong Railway Station is expected to see 672,300 passenger trips, with a daily average of 16,800, up 5.1 percent. Guiyang Railway Station is forecast to handle 943,300 passenger trips, with a daily average of 23,600, up 5 percent.
To meet passengers' travel demands, Guiyang's railway stations have optimized the operation plan and implemented a dynamic adjustment mechanism to ensure efficient transportation capacity supply.
During the Spring Festival Rush, Guiyangbei Railway Station plans to operate 315.5 round trips, an increase of 52.5 year-on-year; Guiyangdong Railway Station will run 126 round trips, an increase of 9; and Guiyang Station is scheduled to operate 104.5 round trips, 20 more than last year.
As of now, Guiyangbei Railway Station plans to operate 160 additional D-series high-speed trains, Guiyangdong Railway Station plans to operate 94 additional D-series high-speed trains, and Guiyang Railway Station plans to operate 64 additional conventional railway trains.
These arrangements fully meet passengers' diverse, differentiated, and personalized travel needs, and provide a solid guarantee for the passenger flow during the Spring Festival Rush.
