Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have established a comprehensive transport network integrating expressways, railways, and aviation, significantly enhancing external connectivity and regional opening-up.

This network has created a 3–8 hour high-speed rail travel circle connecting Guiyang with major cities across China, while key cities in the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area can be reached within 2–3 hours by air.

To strengthen open development platforms, Guiyang and Gui'an are home to one national-level new area and five national-level development zones. The region is advancing the development of four types of national logistics hubs – land ports, airports, production services, and commercial services – along with key cold-chain logistics bases.

An innovative work model has been introduced to improve multimodal transport services, remove bottlenecks to regional opening-up, facilitate the flow of local products to broader markets, and attract goods from outside.
