Guizhou's first multimodal freight train under the "one-waybill" system departed on Aug 19 from Guiyang International Land Port's Dulaying Railway Station, loaded with 4,320 metric tons of fertilizer and bound for Huanghua Port in North China.

The "one-waybill" model simplifies logistics through a single booking, one unified waybill, and one settlement. Instead of purchasing separate tickets for each stage of the journey, companies only need one electronic document that covers the entire route – much like sending a package by express delivery.

For this Guiyang-Huanghua Port service, shippers simply applied for a multimodal transport waybill through China Railway Chengdu Group to receive an all-in-one service package with pricing, schedules, and logistics details.

Through the national railway freight service platform (95306), cargo can also be tracked in real time, ensuring full transparency throughout the journey. This new model improves transport efficiency and cuts overall logistics costs by about 20 percent.
