The City Football Invitational Tournament Guiyang 2025 is taking place in Guiyang from Sept 19 to 25. To ensure smooth travel during the tournament, the State-owned Guiyang Public Transport Co has deployed 100 large buses and launched dedicated shuttle lines to connect with the metro system.
In anticipation of overlapping crowds from football spectators and daily commuters, the company has strategically allocated resources. At the Guanshan West Road terminal, 20 buses have been put on standby to handle peak dispersal after the opening and closing ceremonies.
Meanwhile, a comprehensive inspection has been carried out on buses operating on 21 regular routes passing by the stadiums, including No 70 and 77, to guarantee a 100 percent deployment rate.
Using an intelligent dispatch system, the company monitors passenger flows in real time and flexibly adjusts bus intervals according to the principle of "more buses for more passengers, fewer buses for fewer passengers", ensuring both spectators and local commuters are well served.
To facilitate smooth travel for participating teams, 15 group buses with 39 seats each have been assigned, with every vehicle staffed by a lead driver, a backup driver, and an onboard liaison officer to provide full service for match schedules and training sessions. In addition, two larger backup group buses and reserve drivers have been prepared for emergencies.
