Guiyang readies for summer travel rush

The 2025 summer travel rush started on July 1 and will last until Aug 31, totaling 62 days. Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is expected to complete a passenger throughput of 4.79 million, with an average of 77,300 passengers per day. A total of 31,900 passenger flights will be operated, with an average of 515 flights per day.

To cope with the peak of summer passenger flow, the airport has optimized services to enhance the travel experience of passengers by combining service processes, service products, and convenient facilities and equipment in response to different needs of first-time passengers, elderly passengers, unaccompanied children, international passengers, and transit passengers.

Colorful Guizhou Airlines plans to open six "Zhizhichuanfei" routes with 338 planned flights and an expected passenger throughput of 20,280, year-on-year increases of 36.3 percent and 68 percent, respectively.

The airport recommends that passengers arrange their travel times in advance and arrive at the airport early to handle luggage check-in during the summer travel rush.
