Guiyang Public Transport Co builds diversified travel system

Laowantang Bus Station, situated in Guanshanhu district and spanning an area of over 1,000 square meters, has evolved into an innovative station that benefits the local community.

This is the office of the Guiyang Public Transport Co's northern operations branch, where the company dispatches vehicles promptly to meet citizens' travel needs. It is also a station that integrates functions benefiting farmers, citizens, and tourism.

In 2022, Laowantang Station introduced its first community bus in Gui'an New Area. The bus passes through more than 10 stations, including Yueshanhu Park Station, Guanshanhu District No 11 Middle School, and Shangmai Station, providing a "last kilometer" solution for citizens' work, life, and entertainment.

In October 2024, the company launched Express Bus Line 217, also known as the special line for city construction workers, allowing every worker along the route to conveniently reach their workplace. 

In March, the company launched the Colorful New Media Customized Bus, which departs daily from Laowantang Station and connects Gaozhai village with Douguan Station, alleviating commuting problems for more than 600 employees.

Zhao Jun, a company representative, announced that the company will establish more bus routes around Laowantang Station, making it a comprehensive transportation hub and a convenient service center for dispatching vehicles according to the citizens' travel needs. This will better connect citizens, reduce transfer waiting times, and facilitate the integration of various resources, including commuting, tourism, and commerce, in the surrounding area.
