Guiyang opens four high-speed bus lines

The opening ceremony for Guiyang's four new ring expressway bus lines was held on June 6 at Guiyangbei Railway Station's bus station. The high-speed commuting lines connect Guanshanhu district, Huaxi district, Baiyun district, and Gui'an New Area.

The new lines rely on the ring expressway network to create point-to-point direct services between districts, reducing travel time and transfer costs and meeting the citizens' expectations for efficient commuting.

The four lines explore new forms of public transportation services, utilizing high-speed expressway networks to provide efficient intercity express services, thereby forming a strong complementarity with the existing public transportation network.

The system design considers morning and evening rush hour commuting needs, as well as the travel demands of official, commercial, and educational activities between regions, aiming to connect the city's core areas with minimal transfers and enhance the attractiveness of public transportation.

After the first week of trial operations, passenger Ms Wang said, "I used to transfer between two or three buses to get to Gui'an New Area, and it took at least an hour and a half on the way. Today, I took the ring expressway bus line and arrived half an hour earlier than usual!"

Guiyang Public Transport Co will continue to uphold the concept of serving people's livelihoods, optimizing route layouts, and expanding more high-speed commuting lines to meet the diversified travel needs of citizens. This will promote innovation and transformation in public transport services, creating a more comprehensive system of public transport services in Guiyang.
