Guiyang Public Transport Co recently opened a special bus line for farmers in Wuxing village.

The special line runs from Biguiyuan Station in Huaxi district to Guiyang Railway Station in Nanming district, connecting villager gathering places such as Mengguan, Wuxing village, and Gaimao village, alleviating the problem of villagers selling vegetables in the city along the line. The special line is also a responsive line, so the company will dispatch different vehicle models according to daily passenger flow.

"After we talked with relevant departments and conducted on-site research, we set up a temporary vegetable market at the entrance of the Youzha street rail transit station on April 9. Villagers can set up stalls here from 7 am to 12 pm daily," said Yang Gaopeng, a company representative.

The special line is centered around Wuxing village and spans multiple nearby villages, with a total length of 25.6 kilometers and 11 stops. From March 5 to May 30, it transported 2,230 farmers and 37.2 metric tons of vegetables.

The company will take the Wuxing village bus line as an example, increase research into surrounding towns, add more stations and service locations, and open more special bus lines to benefit farmers.

The company has opened multiple special bus lines since the beginning of this year and plans to design and produce special waiting corridors with rain shelters and higher armchairs to further improve waiting conditions for villagers along the line, promoting the integrated development of urban and rural areas.
