As operating years increase, the capacity of the devices' batteries decreases, affecting the reliability of the backup power supply and the security of transaction data.
The company's technical team conducted a special investigation over two months, covering all stations on Line 1 and Line 2, and testing 2,206 terminal devices. A total of 892 batteries were replaced for 422 devices with insufficient performance, thereby resolving the issue of reduced backup power supply reliability and enhancing the operational capability of the automatic ticketing system in the event of sudden power outages.
A company representative said that they will continue to improve the operational safety guarantee system, creating a safer, more efficient, and more comfortable travel environment.
