Guiyang to build expressway connecting Guiding county

The 2025 Guiding County Government Work Report, released on Feb 5, announced that the Guiding-Guiyang Urban Expressway (also known as Guiyang-Pingtang Expressway Connection Line) in Southwest China's Guizhou province will be completed in 2025.

The Guiding-Longli Connection Line, part of the bundled Guiyang-Pingtang Expressway project, will span 22.8 kilometers, with 12.7 km in Longli county and 10 km in Guiding county. Built to a first-class standard, the four-lane highway has a total investment of nearly 1.3 billion yuan ($173.9 million).

The expressway will start from Youzhuan Avenue in Guiding and end at Shilonggou Bridge in Longli Economic Development Zone. It will connect with Longli's municipal roads and extend to Guiyang and Longli's urban avenues, forming a fast urban corridor that links Guiding, Longli, and Guiyang, and supporting integrated development.

With the expressway, three counties in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture will have direct access to Guiyang. This will boost Guizhou's "Strengthening Provincial Capital" strategy and drive regional economic growth.
