The total passenger volume across Guiyang's metro network reached 3.39 million during the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 28 to Feb 4.
Guiyang Metro implemented several measures to maintain smooth metro operations, including scientific passenger flow predictions, strengthened management at key stations, optimized staff members' deployment, and clearly defined roles for station personnel.
To accommodate the increased travel demand, it extended operating hours by 30 minutes on all lines, with the last trains running until 11:30 pm. This adjustment aimed to ensure convenient travel for both residents and visitors.
Essential systems such as tracks, trains, signals, and power supply were also inspected and maintained in advance to ensure stable operation during these extended service hours.
Security checks were intensified, and safety screening procedures were strictly enforced to prevent prohibited items from entering stations and trains.
