Starting at midnight on Jan 5, Guiyang Railway will implement a new train schedule for the first quarter of the year, affecting 19 of the Guiyang Circular Express trains.
The changes aim to optimize the operation times for the rail system – serving Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – with adjustments ranging from 1 minute to some 4 hours.
Among the 19 affected services, 7 trains will depart earlier than originally scheduled.
For instance, train S5418 from Gui'an to Kaiyang will now leave 25 minutes earlier than before. In contrast, 12 trains will experience delays, with the S5309 service from Guiyang North to Huaxi University City being the most significantly delayed, and now departing nearly 4 hours later.
The railway authorities are urging passengers to stay informed through the official 12306 website and station announcements – and they can also phone the customer service center on 028-12306 for further assistance.
These changes are being undertaken to ensure smooth travel going forwards, but passengers are being encouraged to double-check departure times to avoid any inconvenience.
With the new timetable, travelers are reminded to plan their journeys accordingly for a safe and timely experience.
