Starting Jan 5, the newly adjusted national railway schedule will significantly improve train travel across China. Among the highlights is the upgrade of 16 "D" trains on the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway to faster "G" trains, reducing travel time between Guiyang and Guangzhou South by up to 1 hour and 33 minutes.
The revamped national schedule will enhance passenger and freight services and increase efficiency and connectivity. The changes include adding new bullet train routes, such as 38 trains between Shanghai and provincial capitals like Zhengzhou and Wuhan, and 24 express trains on routes including Shanghai-Guangzhou.
The changes also boost transportation links and improve Guiyang's access to regions like the Yangtze River Delta, Central China, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These developments are expected to enhance regional economic ties and promote tourism.
Tickets for the new schedule will be available starting Dec 22. Passengers are encouraged to check updated timetables and service details via the official 12306 railway platform or local station announcements to plan their journeys effectively.
The upgraded Guiyang-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway exemplifies the country's efforts to enhance transportation infrastructure and connectivity.
