Guiyang Metro Line 3, often called the "Cultural Tourism Line", will celebrate its first year of operation on Dec 16. The line has transported 76.82 million passengers, averaging 212,800 riders per day, making it a vital link in Guiyang's urban network.
Line 3, which spans 43 kilometers and has 29 stations, connects major districts like Huaxi, Nanming, Yunyan, and Wudang. The line offers convenience and smart solutions for passengers, such as an intelligent customer service center and real-time travel updates via dynamic maps. Special amenities, including mother-and-child rooms, accessible restrooms, and multi-functional cultural spaces, enhance the travel experience for all groups.
Beyond transportation, Line 3 has strengthened Guiyang's tourism by linking landmarks like Huaxi Park and Qianling Mountain, promoting leisure and exploration. This integration has enabled seamless access to cultural events and scenic spots, making it a favorite for locals and tourists.
The line had a record 328,100 passengers on New Year's Eve in 2023 and high ridership during holidays. For residents, the metro has transformed their commutes and improved their work-life balance.
