On Nov 29, a new passenger flight with 118 travelers departed Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, bound for Osaka Kansai International Airport, marking the launch of Guizhou province's only direct route to Japan.
Operated by Tianjin Airlines, the route to Osaka from Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – offers three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Outbound flight GS7983 departs Guiyang at 11:15 am Beijing time and arrives in Osaka at 4:00 pm local time. Return flight GS7984 departs Osaka at 7:15 pm local time, landing in Guiyang at 9:20 pm Beijing time.
To enhance convenience, Tianjin Airlines is providing free airport transfer services for non-group travelers in Osaka from Nov 29 to Dec 28. This service covers connections from Kansai International Airport to the 24 districts of Osaka city.
One of the passengers expressed his optimism about the new route, emphasizing its role in making travel to Japan more accessible. He also called for more international routes from Guiyang in the future.
The addition expands Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport's international network.
It now comprises 12 international and regional passenger routes, reflecting the city's growing global connectivity.
