The Guiyang Metro S1 Line Phase I project is progressing steadily toward its goal of beginning initial operation by the end of this year. With staff members diligently conducting trial runs, the project recently completed 20 consecutive days of timetable simulation, achieving performance metrics significantly above regulatory standards.
During this "timetable simulation" trial phase, train operations mirror the city's metro schedule, running daily from 6:20 am to 11:00 pm. A total of 228 train trips are completed each day, with a one-way journey time of 38 minutes and 45 seconds. No passengers are carried during this stage. Key performance indicators, including timetable adherence, punctuality, service reliability, and system fault rates across vehicles, signals, power supply, and platform doors, have all surpassed industry standards.
This trial run is critical before passenger operations begin. It assesses the integration and coordination of various systems and teams to ensure smooth operations.
With trial operations aligning closely with the opening timeline, the Guiyang Metro S1 Line Phase I is making significant strides toward providing a reliable and efficient transportation option for the city.
