At dawn on Nov 20, Zhao Guangmao and his wife from Guba village, Guiyang, boarded the No 252 Huinong Special Line bus. Carrying freshly harvested vegetables, they traveled 27 kilometers to the Dayingpo Market.

"This bus line has made selling vegetables so much easier and faster, truly benefiting us farmers," Zhao Guangmao said gratefully.

Launched on June 1, 2024, the bus line was designed specifically for local farmers, bridging rural farmlands with urban morning markets. The route has enabled farmers to bring their fresh produce into the city more efficiently, boosting their incomes while enriching the choices on city dining tables.

On this chilly morning, the rural roads of Shuitian town bustled with activity. Farmers arrived with tricycles and baskets of vegetables, converging at Dingbacun bus station. The No 252 bus, already waiting, saw a long line of villagers ready to board, each carrying their fresh harvest.

Driver Zhang Guilin, a friendly and familiar face to many farmers, helped load the vegetables and reminded everyone to properly secure their goods. "This job is more than work; it is a shared journey of urban-rural connection," he remarked.

Through thoughtful measures like early departures, added storage racks, and designated market stalls, the Huinong Special Line has benefited over 500 farmers, demonstrating Guiyang's commitment to small-scale solutions with big community impacts.
