Guiyang Railway implemented the new fourth-quarter train schedule on Oct 15, marking the direct high-speed train service debut between Guiyang and Bazhong in Southwest China's Sichuan province. This development significantly improves passengers' travel convenience.
Bazhong, also known as Bazhou, is a prefecture-level city in northeastern Sichuan. It is rich in historical and cultural heritage and is home to numerous red tourism sites and cultural landmarks, including the Nankuan Grottoes, Micang Ancient Road, Guangwu Mountain, Micang Mountain, and Enyang Ancient Town.
The D5122 train connects Guiyang North Station with Bazhong East Station, covering a distance of 994 kilometers. It runs on five high-speed rail lines, including the Chengdu-Guiyang, Chengdu-Zigong-Yibin, Nanjing-Chengdu, Dazhou-Chengdu, and Bazhong-Nanchong routes, and is operated by a CRH2A "Harmony" train.
Departing Guiyang North at 6:03 am, the train stops at Yibin, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu East, Nanchong North, and Yilong stations before arriving in Bazhong East at 11:57 am. The journey takes 5 hours and 54 minutes. Ticket prices are 673 yuan ($94.46) for first-class tickets and 422 yuan for second-class or standing tickets.
