Traffic advisory for Big Data Expo 2024

The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024 will be held from Aug 28 to 30 in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, coinciding with the summer holiday period.

While traffic around the Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center is generally smooth, the influx of attendees – expected to peak at 200,000 on opening day – will significantly increase traffic pressure, particularly during morning and evening rush hours.

Roads such as Changling North Road, Lucheng East Road, and Guanshan East Road will likely experience substantial congestion, especially between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. The evening peak on Aug 30 is also expected to be challenging as the exhibition winds down.

Residents and visitors are advised to avoid peak travel times and plan routes accordingly, steering clear of exhibition center roads. Parking should be limited to designated underground lots to prevent road blockages. Public transport, especially Metro Line 1, is strongly recommended to minimize delays and ease congestion around the event venue.
