On Aug 8, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone granted Guizhou Hankaisi Intelligent Technology Co (PIX Moving) the city's first passenger-carrying vehicle autonomous driving test license.
The approval allows the company's Robobus, an autonomous minibus, to conduct trial runs on designated roads within the Shawenyuan Intelligent Networked Demonstration Zone in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The licensed test area spans approximately 13.5 square kilometers and includes several major roads.
The milestone is said to mark a significant step towards the commercialization of passenger-carrying autonomous driving in Guiyang – enabling the Robobus to gather data in diverse real-world scenarios.
PIX Moving will strictly adhere to local regulations during testing, with plans to accelerate the project's development and bring intelligent driving experiences to the public soon.
