With the peak summer tourist season now well underway, the rail transit system in Guiyang has experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic.
From July 1 to 29, the city's rail network transported a total of 23.72 million passengers, averaging 817,900 per day – a 17.36 percent hike on the June level.
To enhance the travel experience of visitors, the city's rail operator has closely monitored passenger flows and made adjustments in capacity, scheduling and services.
New relaxation posts have been set up at Beijing Road Station on Line 1 and Shuipingqi Station on Line 2 – offering rest areas, reading zones and essential services like drinking water, umbrellas and first aid kits.
Additionally, 14 high-traffic stations – including Guanshanhu Park and Lincheng West Road – now feature service desks providing ticket assistance, consultations and special needs support.
Luggage storage lockers have been installed at 10 key stations, including Beijing Road and Yan'an West Road, to help tourists explore Guiyang more comfortably.
The rail company plans to continue fine-tuning and improving its services to ensure safe, convenient travel and to strengthen Guiyang's reputation as a top summer destination.
