Recently, Flight AQ1207 from Guiyang to Bangkok carried a batch of Zhenning honey plums.
It marked the first export of these plums through Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport's international cargo center.
The milestone is widely said to have highlighted the gradual opening up to overseas markets of Guizhou goods and products.
The shipment consisted of 22 packages weighing 196 kilograms, valued at 20,440 yuan ($2,811). To ensure their freshness and quality, farmhands immediately packaged the plums after picking them and transported them by truck to Guiyang airport.
The logistics company efficiently managed all the unloading, weighing, security checks and storage, earning full praise from the plum producer.
Guizhou Civil Aviation Group's logistics company prioritized the shipment, with the Cargo Development Company assigning dedicated personnel to oversee the process. They coordinated with airport customs to keep operations within a two-hour window, ensuring high efficiency.
Moving forwards, plans are for the logistics company to leverage its resources to further bolster the convenience of cross-border trade and to promote the steady growth of international air cargo.
The effort aims to provide a more efficient and convenient air route, helping more and more of Guizhou's goods to reach global markets.
