Guiyang to develop open public transportation system

Guiyang Public Transport Co based in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a meeting on the establishment of an open public transportation system on March 1, focusing on meeting the needs of the city's residents.

The company will establish a joint consultation mechanism for operational organization services, including network optimization, scheduling, fares, and intervals. It will regularly seek opinions from the government, communities, businesses, schools, and residents to create an open and responsive operational service system. 

It will prioritize market demand, quality, and efficiency and use market competitiveness, market share, passenger satisfaction, and service benefits as evaluation criteria to develop an open public transport evaluation index system. 

The company will also focus on improving the public transport online mall platform and the "Qianshuang Public Transport" app to enhance interaction with residents in the city and improve the service capabilities and scope of public transport. It will also establish standardized processes for live broadcasting times, content, and feedback, creating an online "face-to-face" communication channel between the company and residents. 

Furthermore, it will open up public transport station resources to serve local residents, utilizing existing public transport facilities for comprehensive development, including the construction of charging stations, supermarkets, time-sharing parking, express delivery, shared electric vehicles, dining, and tourism services.
