Experts, officials discuss solutions to traffic congestion in Guiyang and Gui'an

The live broadcast interview program "Fighting a Tough Battle Against Traffic Congestion in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area" was recently launched.

Hu Lin, deputy director of the Guiyang public security traffic management bureau, shared the overall approach and specific measures for combating traffic congestion with viewers.

Experts in the field of traffic management and media supervision officers approached the issue from both academic and public perspectives, engaging in discussions and providing suggestions regarding the traffic congestion situation in Guiyang and Gui'an.

Zhong Tantan, a full-time teacher at the School of Political Science and Economic Management of Guizhou Minzu University, has long been dedicated to research in the field of traffic management.

He proposed that, to establish a long-term mechanism for urban traffic congestion management, it is essential to achieve unity between traffic supply management and demand management.

Secondly, in the process of urban construction, emphasis should be placed on transitioning from a singular centralized model to a more decentralized one.

Thirdly, urban traffic management should be integrated with comprehensive urban governance.

There should also be a strong focus on developing public transportation and constructing a future smart city traffic system.

The live broadcast was simultaneously aired on more than 10 platforms, including Guiyang Network, Sina Weibo, Douyin, and Kuaishou, and received more than 100,000 viewers, attracting widespread attention and receiving positive feedback.
