Guiyang promotes bus tour around city

The bus operations department of Guiyang Public Transport Co, based in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched a promotion campaign for its B1 line on Dec 21. 

The B1 BRT line covers a total distance of 37.4 kilometers and travels to several tourist attractions around Guiyang. It not only serves as a fast public transportation option, but also connects dozens of parks and popular sightseeing locations in the city.

When passengers take the bus, the drivers take advantage of the boarding and alighting time to provide brief introductions to the surrounding attractions at each stop.

At every station along this line, there is a "Green Travel, BRT Takes You to Explore Guiyang" promotional booth. Passengers who check in at these designated spots can receive a free promotional gift at the Guiyangbei BRT stop of the line. For out-of-town tourists or passengers who are unable to collect the gifts in person, Guiyang Public Transport Co will provide gift mailing services. 

"The company is exploring the new 'public transportation + cultural tourism' model, which allows passengers to fully experience distinctive cultural services. This model also further enhances Guiyang's reputation as a delightful tourist destination," said Ding Yi, deputy manager of the bus operations department of Guiyang Public Transport Co. This promotion campaign will continue until Jan 31, 2024.
