Guiyang launches customized bus services to relieve traffic jams

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has taken measures to create a public transportation priority system to relieve traffic jams in the city. 

Customized bus services are alleviating urban traffic congestion, providing passengers with greater convenience. 

To ease the congestion around hospitals and meet the commuting needs of patients at Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, Guiyang has optimized the nearby bus routes and other facilities. 

A customized shuttle bus service has also been established for the hospital's medical staff members, connecting the two divisions of the hospital on Zhongshan East Road and Jinzhu East Road. 

Furthermore, Guiyang has added bus services from the hospital to Guiyangbei Railway Station, Huaguoyuan, Sanqiao, Jinyang Avenue, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Taici Bridge, to meet the travel needs of residents. 

To combat traffic jams around schools, the city has cooperated with 34 schools in the city on opening 124 customized bus routes. This has relieved traffic pressure in the environs of schools, making life easier and safer for students.
