A partial section of Jiayuan Road in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially opened on Sept 20.

Linking Baoshan South Road, Youzha Street, and Huaguan Road, Jiayuan Road is designed with six lanes in both directions, covering about 1.2 kilometers.

The new road section will improve the flow of traffic on Youzha Street and in the Shougang areas, facilitating travel for local residents while also alleviating the traffic pressure caused by the dropping-off and picking-up of students at Guizhou 18th Middle School (Shougang Campus) and Jiaxiu Cuimei Primary School on the surrounding roads during peak hours.

Jiayuan Road currently offers more than 180 parking spaces. During school hours, parents can temporarily park their vehicles for free on both sides of the road.
