Guiyang's tram demonstration line project, T2 Line (Phase 1), recently made new progress, with the main structures of nine elevated stations and all nine integrated parking lot buildings now finished.
"The decoration of integrated parking lots is half finished, and 30 percent of the landscaping and installation of mechanical and electrical systems has been completed. After all the work is done, we can proceed with the final inspection and enter the trial operation phase," said Li Hang, chief engineer of the T2 Line project.
The T2 Line (Phase 1) is the first tram demonstration line in Southwest China's Guizhou province. It connects Guanshanhu district, Baiyun district, and the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in the provincial capital Guiyang.
Phase 1 of the T2 Line consists of 13 stations, with a designed maximum operating speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Among all the stations, the International Convention Center Station will provide interchange services with the already operational Metro Line 1.
