Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province and a provincial transportation hub, has been optimizing its transportation services to enhance tourists' travel experiences.
In the first half of this year, Guiyang received 91.48 million visits.
Early in March, the Guiyang Tourism Distribution Center (Qingyan) began operations. It provides tourists with one-stop tourism services, including tourism route operations, agricultural and specialty product fairs, and cultural creative product development.
According to Chen Tanya, deputy general manager of the tourism division of Guiyang Urban Development Asset Management Co, direct buses from Guiyang Railway Station, Guiyang North Railway Station, and Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport to the distribution center have now been officially launched.
Guiyang has also been promoting the development of its vehicle rental market to facilitate tourists' road trips.
"With more than 8,000 kilometers of expressways, the road network in Guizhou is very convenient for transportation. The developing trend of travelling by car has unique advantages. We have opened car rental stores in all of the prefecture-level cities in the province to facilitate transfers from planes and high-speed trains to cars," said Wang Yi, manager of the Shenzhou Vehicle Rental Longdongbao Airport Store.
"By completing real-name authentication and driver's license verification through the app, I can make orders online, and pick up the car at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, smoothly starting my driving tour in Guizhou," said Luo Yu, a tourist from Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
