Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, set a new record for daily passenger throughput of 71,758 on Aug 6.
As of the end of July, the airport had opened 186 routes to 107 cities, operated by 35 airlines.
By Aug 6, the airport had achieved a passenger throughput of 11.34 million, handling 50,100 metric tons of cargo and mail, with 84,800 flight take-offs and landings.
The airport has established a collaborative flight operation system to enhance passenger services, optimizing check-in, security screening, sorting, and boarding processes in coordination with airlines. Special channels for people in need have been set up, additional check-in counters and security lanes have been opened, and 143 signage guides have been improved, ensuring smooth travel for passengers.
