The railway department in Guiyang reported that railway traffic has shown a robust recovery this year. As of July 23, Guiyang's three major key railway stations have collectively served 19.37 million passengers, an increase of 1.33 million compared to the 18.04 million passengers during the same period in 2019, representing a growth rate of 7.35 percent.

According to the Guiyang railway station, strong travel demand led to a high passenger flow during holidays such as the Spring Festival, May Day holiday, and Dragon Boat Festival, and on weekends.

Particularly noteworthy is that during this year's summer travel peak, traffic at the three major railway stations has been consistently high, with an average daily passenger count exceeding 120,000, a new record for the period.

The majority of passengers are traveling for summer vacation, family visits, trips within and outside the province, and summer escapes. Traffic is expected to remain high for the foreseeable future.

The summer travel peak has brought a large number of people from Guiyang to popular tourist destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan. Within the province, traffic is mainly concentrated around Liupanshui, Anshun, Bijie, and Zunyi.

In the face of so many passengers, the Guiyang railway has adjusted its train services, increased seating capacity by adding more train carriages as needed, and strengthened passenger guidance and boarding and alighting organization to ensure the safety of passengers.
