Jinyang Branch of Guiyang Public Transport Co will launch 13 new express bus lines in the near future in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The new lines will operate by selecting popular stations among the existing routes. The selection process is based on passenger data collected by the public transport system, as well as frequent surveys by staff members along major roads such as Baihua Avenue, Beijing West Road, and Qianling Mountain Road.
The optimized bus stops of the 13 lines have been chosen via meetings and discussions with community representatives, neighborhood committees, and passenger representatives, with the aim of providing greater convenience while also ensuring safe operations.
On regular weekdays, the speed and routes of the express bus lines will remain unchanged. The stops will be located in areas with high passenger flow, such as residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and densely populated work areas.
Notably, during peak hours, stops with low passenger volume in terms of boarding and alighting will be reduced, improving the operating speed of the buses.
The introduction of these express bus lines will boost the efficiency of interconnecting transportation in the districts of Guanshanhu, Nanming, Yunyan, Baiyun, Huaxi, and Wudang.
