The construction of Guiyang Metro Line S1 is now in full swing in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
To date, eight stations on the line have completed capping their main structures and nearly half of the elevated section beams have been finished. Construction and installation of the track, power supply, electromechanical equipment, civil air defenses and escalators are underway.

As an important channel connecting the main urban area of Guiyang and the Guian New Area, the S1 line starts from the Zaojiaoba in Guian and ends at Wangchengpo in the Nanming district, spanning 30.32 kilometers and setting up 13 stations.
Once open to traffic, it will shorten the travel time between Guiyang and the Guian New Area, transform part of the population and urban functions to the area, and boost economic development along the line.
