AR navigation system to be launched at Guiyang rail station

The Guiyang transportation committee recently announced that an augmented reality navigation system in Guiyang North Railway Station will be put into trial operation during the upcoming May Day holiday from April 29 to May 3. 

To make it easier for passengers to find their way around the railway station, the Guanshanhu District High-speed Railway Economic Belt Service Center has built a real-time navigation system in the station relying on technologies such as internet of things and big data. 

The system uses AR interactive technology, allowing passengers to see virtual guidance arrows and listen to voice navigation through their mobile phones. 

The system further optimizes path planning and is able to calculate the remaining distance until the user arrives at his or her destination. 

Passengers can view the official WeChat account of "Guiyang North High-speed Railway Station" or "Guiyang North High-speed Railway Station Navigation" on their mobile phones to use the full-time guidance services.
