Construction on the west bridge of Tianhetan Station along rail transit Line S1 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was in full swing on March 5.

The 30.32-kilometer rail transit line with 13 stations runs through Guian New Area, Huaxi district, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Nanming district, and is an important passage from Guian New Area to the main urban area of Guiyang.

So far, over 80 percent of the civil engineering on the line and the main structures of eight stations have been completed. The line is expected to open to traffic in 2024.
