Train ticket pre-sales surge in Guiyang

Three major railway stations in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, pre-sold more than 103,000 train tickets between Dec 24 and Jan 4 for the 2023 Spring Festival travel rush. 

This year's travel rush will start on Jan 7 and end on Feb 15, lasting a total of 40 days. 

Among the pre-sold train tickets, about 15 percent were from Guiyang Railway Station and 85 percent were from Guiyang North Railway Station and Guiyang East Railway Station. 

The majority of passengers bought the tickets from six channels including telephone bookings, self-service ticket vending machines and the official train ticketing website (12306), according to Guiyang Railway Station.
