Guiyang, Guian New Area alleviate parking problem in 2022

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Guian New Area added 27,820 public parking spaces in 2022, exceeding the annual target of 25,000 public parking spaces.

The public parking space construction project involved all districts, county-level cities and counties of Guiyang and Guian New Area, effectively meeting the parking needs of the public. 

For example, Yunyan district renovated vacant land in an old residential area into the Shahe Garden public parking lot. This alleviated the parking problems of surrounding residents. The Zhongxing Road Station parking lot of Guiyang Metro Line 2 was designed for more convenient commutes into main urban areas and to reduce urban traffic congestion. 

The Guiyang Transportation Committee will now provide a more convenient, intelligent and safer parking environment by improving the information services and market-oriented development of these parking lots.
