Guizhou's China Railway Express resumes service in October

A China Railway Express freight train carrying 50 containers on Oct 6 left Dulaying Railway Station – in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – and began the long haul to Russia, in a symbolically important run.

It marked the first China Railway Express freight train to depart from Guizhou in October and the 28th since China Railway Express started operations in Guizhou last November.

Guiyang South Railway Station, the operator of Dulaying Railway Station, has given full play to its advantages in location, transport and industry development since November last year – working with local government departments on transportation affairs, assembling cargos, customs inspections, train dispatching and operational applications.

The cargos range from articles for daily use, plastic products and daily necessities to auto parts and household appliances and the transportation volume is increasing. By Sept 30, Guizhou had operated 27 China Railway Express freight trains with more than 20,000 metric tons of cargo.

To ensure the operations of China Railway Express during the National Day holiday – which ran from Oct 1 to 7 – the railway department, operating companies and Guiyang customs cooperated to optimize the operation process and improve operation efficiency.

Guiyang South Railway Station helped the Dulaying Railway Station with its COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, shift arrangements, equipment security and operation standards to reduce logistics costs.

Dulaying Railway Station also gave priority to the inspections and customs clearances of China Railway Express. It planned the operation of the freight trains in advance to ensure the smooth running of the China Railway Express service.
