Highway service areas outside Guiyang open transfer stations

A vehicle loaded with anti-epidemic supplies to Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, stopped at the Yunfeng Highway Service Area outside the city on Sept 7 to be sterilized before entering the city.

With approval from the Guizhou Department of Transportation, the Yunfeng, Shangji Wujiang, Haohuahong and Changshun highway service areas have served as transfer stations outside Guiyang in response to the recent new local wave of COVID-19. 

The Yunfeng Highway Service Area consists of a disinfection and epidemic prevention area, a rapid transfer connecting area, an isolation area for drivers and passengers, and a temporary storage area. It has added temporary beds for drivers transporting anti-epidemic supplies to rest. 

The transfer station has adopted a close-loop transportation system for the transit of anti-epidemic supplies so as to avoid possible new infections.
