Transport infrastructure construction progresses in Guiyang

Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou province, recently held a press conference interpreting its progress in transport infrastructure construction. 

This year, the city has completed 95.5 percent and 53.2 percent of civil engineering for metro lines 3 and S1, with 4.04 billion yuan ($594.18 million) in investment and 2.12 billion yuan in place. 

The first phase project of the T2 tram line has seen 230 million yuan of investment in place since the beginning of 2022 and 10 percent of its civil engineering has been finished.

As for urban road construction, Guiyang has fixed eight blocked or impassable roads and opened them to traffic after proposing an annual plan of fixing 22 impassable roads this year, with 390 million yuan in place for the repair. 

Guiyang aims to build at least 25,000 public parking spaces and 70 parking projects. So far, 41 parking lots have been finished and 19,423 parking spaces are open to the public. 

The city has also started construction on Shunerde dock in the Luowang River section of Kaiyang Port, with the construction of a 500-metric-ton bulk cargo berth completed.
