The EN ramp (off-ramp) of the Ergezhai interchange along the Southwest Ring Road of Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially opened to traffic on April 27.
The 380-meter-long, 8.5-meter-wise ramp consists of one lane and has a designed speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
It better connects Fuyuan Road and the Southwest Ring Road, which will effectively relieve surrounding traffic congestion.

"Before the EN ramp opened, residents needed to drive 3 km and turn around at Sanjiangkou from Southwest Ring Road to Fuyuan Road. The ramp reduces the distance vehicles need to travel and alleviates congestion at the ground level of Ergezhai interchange," said Chen Zhengsong, a staff member of Nanming's housing and urban-rural development bureau.
Next, the district will strengthen construction of the urban road network to make life and travel more convenient.
