Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will connect 22 cut-off or impassable roads in the current year, according to the Guiyang transportation committee on March 9.
To date, Hongyan North Road in Nanming district was opened to traffic before the Spring Festival holiday, and the eastern section of Huaguan Road and the second branch of Songbai Road in Huaxi district are under construction.
To alleviate urban congestion, it's believed that Guiyang needs to connect 145 sections of broken roads, extending 230 kilometers.
These impassable roads cover key areas with schools, hospitals and transport stations.
