To help people better admire cherry blossoms and advocate for green travel, Guiyang recently launched a direct bus service between Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and the Pingba cherry blossom park in Guian New Area.
The direct buses are scheduled to run from March 12 to 31 and will be adjusted or extended according to the flowering period of cherry trees in the Pingba cherry blossom park.
There will be eight routes to the destination, and people can board the direct buses at sites such as the Guiyang Tourist Distribution Center, the main entrance to Xiputuo Temple in Baiyun district, the Guiyang North Railway Station Tourist Distribution Center and Huaxi University Town.

People need to book tickets at least one day in advance before taking the direct buses and buying tickets on the bus is not allowed. The fare is 49 yuan ($7.75) per person for a round trip. In addition, those who wish to visit the Pingba cherry blossom park need to make an appointment with their ID cards on official platforms in advance.
The Pingba cherry blossom park is known as one of the best places to view cherry blossoms in China and is just a 40-minute drive from Guiyang. March is the best time to admire the cherry trees, as more than 700,000 such trees envelop islands in Hongfeng Lake, creating an alluring and romantic spectacle.
